COMING SOON! SUMMER DATES FOR 2022!
The Creative Uncommon
Immersive small group art and culinary experiences in The Lyceum Gallery
for students aged 9-12 years
Looking for something different this summer?
Join us as we explore different food destinations around the city in search of the stories, ingredients and recipes from different culinary traditions. Then spend some time in the studio building skills and creating work for a group show in The Lyceum Gallery.
The Lyceum’s Director Holly and Chef Sam bring their combined experience from an array of artistic disciplines including:
culinary arts
creative writing
fundamental drawing techniques
graphic narrative and sequential art
foraging
gardening
botanical studies
ink making
watercolours and inkwork
silkscreening
cyanotype and anthotype printing
collage
Each day, students will receive cooking lessons (with lunch of course!) as well as formal art instruction and interdisciplinary studio time. There will be a group show of their work in the Lyceum Gallery from August 31-Sept 3. We will also be sure to get outside to explore and record the city’s gardens, built environments and wild spaces.
The Creative Uncommon hours are 10-4.
Before and aftercare are also available from 8.30-10 am and 4-5.30 pm.
Fees $395 per week
Before or aftercare sessions are $20 each
