Senior Math Tutor

Riz comes from a Civil Engineering background but his true love is engaging the upcoming generation in a lifelong study of applied maths. Riz tutors students in grades 7-12 and is constantly creating ways to connect students to bigger ideas through both research and study. In addition to covering the core curriculum, he also explores advanced concepts from Euclid’s Elements to fractal patterning in Platonic solids. Recently, students were assigned the task of creating sustainable city plans that employed an array of geometric forms.

Riz has mastered pure mathematics such as advanced calculus and many other branches of applied math. He is a member of the American Mathematical Society.
