Starting September 21st, Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30AM
In this class caregivers and children bring music making into their lives through a multitude of bouncing, tickling, singing, movement and instrument games. The activities are drawn from the time-tested pedagogical traditions of Orff and Kodaly and are meant to develop a basic awareness of musical elements like steady beat, simple rhythms, melodic contour, pitch distinction, timbre and voice production. They also promote cognitive development in the areas of attention, cognitive flexibility, memory and perception. Most importantly, Early Childhood Music offer children and caregivers true artistic experiences that sets children up for a lifelong love of music.
