Bakers Half Dozen Opens to the Public

Popup bakery Wednesday morning! The Lyceum Students’ praxis project this year is running a popup bakery. From this venture, they gain practical experience through responsibility for the baking, marketing, accounting, staffing and shopkeeping. The adults are completely hands off so they have to learn the checks and measures required to pull it off and open their doors to the public every Wednesday morning at 9 with a quality product that is attractively presented and served with aplomb. This morning we officially open to the public. The chocolate chip cookies will sell out fast so come on in and watch as we learn. Here’s their marketing pitch for this morning:On your morning walk, be sure to pop in to the Bakers Half Dozen Popup Bakery, run out of The Lyceum Gallery by students of The Lyceum. Every Wednesday at 9am you can buy fresh baked goods on a weekly rotation of different recipes. Everything is baked here from scratch and students take care of it all from baking to budgeting to inventory to customer service. We even make the packaging. Start your morning right this Wednesday. Quantities are limited and sell out fast!
